The Role
As an Installation Engineer, you will take the lead on installing specialist care equipment including overhead hoists, changing tables, and toileting systems. This is a field-based role requiring both technical skill and strong customer interaction.
You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members while ensuring all installations meet strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead installation projects for specialist care equipment
– Train and support junior engineers on-site
– Complete accurate daily installation reports
– Ensure compliance with LOLER regulations, safety standards, and company policies
– Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis
– Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (1 in 3 weekends, paid overtime)
Requirements
– Strong practical/technical ability (industry experience desirable)
– Minimum 3 years’ experience within the construction industry
– Understanding of LOLER regulations (preferred but not essential)
– Full UK Driving Licence
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
– Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
– Team-oriented with strong leadership potential
– Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and reliability
