Trusted Recruiter is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer of specialist wheelchair seating and postural management solutions.
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NHS Seating Specialist to join their successful clinical sales team covering the North East of England.
This is a highly rewarding role for someone passionate about improving outcomes for wheelchair users through bespoke seating solutions. You’ll work closely with NHS Wheelchair Services, carrying out clinical assessments, recommending tailored seating solutions and supporting clinicians throughout the assessment and prescription process. The role centres on delivering Custom Seating Clinics, providing clinical expertise, training NHS teams and developing long-term partnerships across the territory.
The Role
As the NHS Seating Specialist, you will be responsible for:
· Delivering specialist Custom Seating Clinics across NHS Wheelchair Services.
· Carrying out comprehensive postural seating assessments.
· Assessing complex seating needs and recommending appropriate bespoke seating solutions.
· Completing clinical prescriptions and supporting equipment handovers.
· Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Engineers and Wheelchair Service clinicians.
· Delivering clinical education and product training to NHS clinicians and technical staff.
· Building and developing strong relationships across Wheelchair Services within your territory.
· Managing your own diary, clinic schedule and territory planning.
· Representing the business at exhibitions, educational events and customer meetings.
· Achieving sales targets whilst maintaining exceptional clinical standards.
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from individuals with experience in specialist seating, postural management or wheelchair services, including:
· NHS Seating Specialists
· Rehabilitation Engineers
· Clinical Scientists
· Occupational Therapists (OT)
· Wheelchair Therapists
· Physiotherapists
· Clinical Product Specialists
· Seating & Postural Specialists
You will ideally have experience of:
· Complex seating assessments
· Postural management
· NHS Wheelchair Services
· Prescription of specialist seating systems
· Working with multidisciplinary clinical teams
· Delivering clinical training and education
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
· Managing your own diary and territory
Previous experience within medical devices, rehabilitation or mobility equipment would be highly advantageous.
