Trusted Recruiter Ltd is recruiting on behalf of an established UK manufacturer within the specialist healthcare and mobility equipment sector.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Sales Account Manager covering London, the South East and East Anglia.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a territory with significant untapped potential. The area provides an excellent platform for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening new accounts and developing a territory rather than simply maintaining an established customer base.
You will be responsible for developing sales through mobility dealers, distributors and specialist retailers, combining proactive new business development with the growth and management of existing accounts.
The Opportunity
This is an area with considerable potential for growth, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to really make the territory their own.
A key part of the position will be generating new business from scratch – identifying prospective dealers and distributors, making initial contact, arranging meetings and developing those relationships into long-term customers.
However, you won’t be starting completely cold. There are also existing customers, leads and enquiries to follow up, nurture and develop.
Your focus will therefore include:
· Generating new dealer and distributor business from scratch.
· Prospecting and opening new accounts across the territory.
· Following up existing leads and incoming enquiries.
· Re-engaging prospective and previous customers.
· Managing and growing existing customer accounts.
· Increasing spend and identifying additional opportunities within established accounts.
· Building strong, long-term relationships with dealers and distributors.
The Role
Working autonomously across London, the South East and East Anglia, you will develop and execute a territory plan designed to deliver sustainable sales growth.
Responsibilities will include:
· Identifying and approaching prospective mobility dealers, distributors and specialist retailers.
· Proactively generating appointments and new business opportunities.
· Following up leads, enquiries and potential opportunities.
· Developing relationships with key decision-makers throughout the territory.
· Managing, maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.
· Identifying opportunities to increase sales within the existing account base.
· Conducting customer meetings, product demonstrations and presentations.
· Providing product education and training to customers.
· Monitoring competitor activity and identifying opportunities within the territory.
· Attending relevant exhibitions, trade events and customer training days.
· Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity information through the CRM.
· Managing your pipeline and providing regular sales forecasts and territory updates.
The Candidate
Previous experience of the exact product range is not essential.
What is important is previous experience within the mobility, disability, healthcare equipment or assistive technology industry and an understanding of the customers and sales channels within the sector.
Experience selling through mobility dealers, distributors or specialist retailers would be particularly attractive.
You should be:
· Experienced within the mobility, disability or healthcare equipment industry.
· Experienced in field sales, account management or business development.
· Comfortable generating new business rather than relying solely on incoming leads.
· Confident approaching prospective customers and developing relationships from scratch.
· Able to manage and grow an existing account base.
· Commercially driven and motivated by developing a territory.
· Comfortable working independently and managing a large geographical area.
· Organised and confident using CRM systems to manage your pipeline.
· Strong at building long-term customer relationships.
· Comfortable learning and demonstrating technical products.
· In possession of a full UK driving licence.
Experience within specialist seating or furniture would be advantageous but is not essential, as comprehensive product training will be provided.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
The real attraction of this position is the potential within the territory.
Rather than inheriting an area that has already reached its ceiling, you will have the opportunity to build and develop business across London, the South East and East Anglia while also benefiting from existing accounts, leads and enquiries.
For someone who enjoys new business development, opening doors and seeing a territory grow as a direct result of their work, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established specialist manufacturer and make a genuine impact.
