South West England & South Wales | Hybrid Field-Based Role
This is a hybrid clinical – commercial role, combining complex seating/postural assessment expertise with account management and sales delivery across NHS Wheelchair Services and a small portfolio of specialist dealers.
The Role
You will split your time between:
• NHS Wheelchair Services – developing and strengthening long-term clinical relationships, supporting assessments, specifications, and service development.
• Dealer Account Management – managing and growing 2–3 established dealer partners, driving commercial performance and pipeline progression.
The role requires strong follow-through and commercial discipline, while retaining credibility with clinicians and service managers. Flexibility exists depending on whether your strengths lean more clinical or commercial, though NHS Wheelchair Services experience is highly valued.
Territory
• South West England: Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Cardiff
• Extended reach: up to Leicester and Shropshire as required
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow relationships with NHS Wheelchair Services across the territory
• Deliver complex seating and postural assessments in collaboration with clinicians
• Own and develop dealer accounts, ensuring strong commercial execution
• Build and convert opportunity pipelines, ensuring accurate forecasting
• Act as a trusted clinical and commercial partner to stakeholders
• Represent the organisation professionally at assessments, reviews, and events
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven experience in complex seating and postural management
• Strong relationships within NHS Wheelchair Services (highly desirable)
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage accounts and close opportunities
• Backgrounds of interest include:
– Complex seating manufacturers or specialists
– NHS professionals with demonstrable commercial exposure
• Dealer-side sales skills can be trained; wheelchair service relationships are harder to build
Salary, Bonus & Benefits
• Base salary: £40,000 – £45,000+ (dependent on experience)
• OTE 16,000 at target
• Quarterly bonuses with year-end catch-up and clawback
