The company specialises in manual and powered wheelchairs, supplying primarily to retailers across the UK.
With a strong reputation in the market and a growing focus on powered mobility products, the business is now looking to strengthen its technical team.
The Role
We are seeking a Mobility Engineer / Sales Demonstrator with a strong technical background in mobility equipment, particularly powered wheelchairs.
This is a hybrid technical and customer-facing role, with a clear emphasis on engineering knowledge, product support, and demonstrations rather than pure sales.
The role is ideally suited to candidates based in the West Midlands and surrounding counties, with occasional UK travel (approx. 3–4 trips per month).
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and expertise on powered mobility products (especially power chairs)
Deliver product demonstrations and training to retailers and partners
Assist with setup, servicing support, and troubleshooting
Support internal operations to ensure product reliability and continuity
Attend customer visits and dealer meetings when required
Contribute to sales activities and product presentations where appropriate
Key Requirements
Strong technical/engineering background (essential)
Experience with powered mobility equipment (highly desirable)
Knowledge of wheelchairs (manual and powered)
Comfortable delivering product demonstrations and working with dealers
Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK
Based within West Midlands / Herefordshire / Worcestershire / Gloucestershire / Warwickshire
Nice to have:
Experience in servicing, repairs, or field engineering
Exposure to NHS / OT environments
Some customer-facing or demonstration experience
What We’re Looking For
Strong hands-on technical ability
Ability to confidently demonstrate and explain products
Willingness to support both engineering and customer-facing activities
Adaptable and willing to support across the business where needed
Salary & Benefits
£35,000 – £45,000+ depending on experience
