The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive growth across hospital, long-term care, and homecare markets for our client. A market Leader in Patient Handling Products. This role offers a unique blend of new business development, account management, and project management, working closely with stakeholders across healthcare, construction, and design. You will play a key role in developing business within: – Hospital and long-term care environments – Homecare markets via an established dealer network – New hospital builds and refurbishment projects You will also work closely with Architects, Contractors, Specifiers, and NHS Estates teams, helping influence design and installation from early project stage through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive short and medium-term sales growth in line with business plans
· Identify and develop new project opportunities within hospitals and care environments
· Project manage installations from specification through to delivery
· Build strong relationships with Architects, Contractors, and Developers
· Produce professional plans, specifications, and quotations
· Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
· Work within margin and profitability guidelines
· Achieve agreed sales targets and performance metrics
· Maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
· 3+ years’ experience in a technical or specification-led sales role
· Experience selling installed or capital equipment preferred
· Background in healthcare, hospital, long-term care, or homecare markets highly desirable
· Strong understanding of construction and building design processes
· Confident working with Architects, Contractors, and Project Teams
· Entrepreneurial, driven, and comfortable in a competitive sales environment
· Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
